We have had some very positive comments recently and would like to share them with you:
“It’s with much regret that my professional contact with Country Care is ending as I leave Southend BC’s employ as Advisory Teacher for LAC to return to teaching.
I have really valued your input towards the Southend LAC in your outstanding care. I have had professional oversight of “therapeutic placements” in many parts of the country but NONE match yours.
You really “do what it says on the tin”. I am impressed by your organisational set-up and the outstanding education provision marrying educational and social pedagogy. Your support for attachment disorders is obviously underpinned by complete theoretical knowledge appropriately applied to practical delivery of support.
The overwhelming sense of well-being in the home is real and not stage managed. Our LAC is responding and will stand every possible chance of developing a positive future both educationally and socially. My hope is that the family members will also catch your “fairy dust” and modify their lifestyles but at least their attitude towards parenting our LAC”
And also:
“I am social worker for a young person recently placed at Country Care, The Meadows. The induction period given by Country Care has been fantastic. I have been very impressed by all staff at Country Care and the care and support given. I was particularly impressed with the thorough review report compiled by Country Care for the LAC review. Other staff from my authority, the IRO and social work assistant that have also visited, have also expressed to me that they were 'extremely impressed'.”
In her leaving card a former resident writes:
“TO EVERYONE AT THE MEADOWS!
Thank you for everything, I will take away the most amazing memories and I will never forget you guys. Take care of yourselves. Love XXX
We are definitely not going to be Lemons!
